Shocking Budget for Existing Senior Center (not the proposed new one)

19 May 2017 4:19 PM | Donna Johnson

According to Jud Foster, director of Norman's Parks & Recreation department, the FY17 budget for the EXISTING senior center, not the new, proposed one, is $165,717. Robert Castleberry commented that the animal shelter's budget is 3 times that. I do NOT begrudge the animals one dime, and they are being cared for better that Norman's elderly. Call and email your council member and let her or him know how you feel about this level of neglect and disrespect.

This is pathetic. Now the ladies of the ceramics class have gone publicly begging for money to replace broken down kilns. If the city can’t find this how will they find a new senior center.
